Drop-in Service
1-2-1 drop-in support session. These are ad hoc sessions that can be accessed every 4+ weeks as and when you need it. If more frequent input is required, we will then advise that 1-2-1 counselling sessions are required. This is specifically for people not wanting or not yet ready to commit to a course of 10 counselling sessions. It will be a safe space to off-load and access support in a 50-minute session with a trained counsellor. This is also available to people who have accessed and completed the course of counselling and maybe triggered in some way and wanting a one-one session to off load, process or reflect.

A Quick Guide to Counselling Models
A Quick Guide to Counselling Models
The counsellor will show skills of listening, holding the silence, reflecting, empathy, immediacy, exploring, questioning, clarifying, summarising and paraphrasing.
Remember, if you don’t get on with your counsellor it’s ok to ask to see someone else. We’re not born into this world to get on with everyone and it’s natural that we won’t. For therapy to work, it’s essential you develop a strong and positive relationship with your counsellor. A therapist won’t be upset if you want to change, they’ll only want the best outcome for you.
You can apply for either individual or family therapy. Up to 10 sessions offered per person (travel costs not included). Reaching patients and families across East Anglia. This service offers a variety of approaches for therapy including on-line and telephone options.
